As we approach Memorial Day, Red Wing offers several events to honor the occasion and engage the community.
Memorial Day Observance

All city buildings will be closed in observance of Memorial Day. Residents are encouraged to participate in local commemorations and take a moment to honor those who have served.
City Council Workshop

Time: 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM
The City Council will hold a workshop to discuss upcoming initiatives and community matters. Residents are welcome to attend and stay informed about local governance.
City Council Meeting
Date: Tuesday, May 26, 2026
Time: 6:30 PM – 7:30 PM
Following the workshop, the City Council will convene for its regular meeting to address city business and hear public comments.
Heritage Preservation Commission Awards and Trivia Night
Date: Thursday, May 28, 2026
Time: 6:00 PM
Location: Jimmy’s Pub, St. James Hotel
The Heritage Preservation Commission will recognize five exemplary projects that contribute to preserving Red Wing’s heritage. The awards presentation will be followed by a trivia night featuring Red Wing and Minnesota-themed questions. Complimentary snacks and a cash bar will be available.
Bike Rodeo
Date: Saturday, May 30, 2026
Time: 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Location: Law Enforcement Center Parking Lot
Bring the kids to learn about bike safety with our local police officers at this free event featuring a bike safety course, prize drawings, refreshments, and lots of fun. Come join us!
